This happened more than four years ago and I'm still angry when I think about it. I ordered a dress and received notice three weeks after it was supposed to have shipped that it was back-ordered.

No problem, I'm not in a hurry and I can wait another two weeks, which is what I was told it would be. Three weeks later, no dress, but I get another notice that it will be at least a month before the dress will be shipped. OK, now I'm getting a little worried. The credit card I used is due to expire in a month - any more delays and it will be no good.

I call customer service to let them know I had a dress on back-order and that I would need to put it on another card when it was ready to ship. The agent said "Well, that's why your dress is on back-order. You gave us a bad card!" I never did get my dress but instead got a postcard letting me know they were unable to fulfill my order since the manufacturer was no longer making it.

Shipping issues, back-orders, shoddy manufacturing, and over-priced goods. But they do put out a slick catalog.
